"Our first cost down step replaced the traditional multilayer PCB of the
PA08xxNL series with a helical flat coil, reducing the direct current
resistance (DCR) by 50%, leading to both a 20% increase in power
handling capability and 20% reducton in price," explained Gerard Healy,
Product Manager, Pulse Electronics Power Business Unit. "The PH08xxCNL
series offers a further 20% price reduction by replacing the inserted
pins with a pinned header."
The PH08xxCNL series has a different pad layout to the earlier series so
it is the recommend and most cost-effective solution for new designs.
This series is available in T&R packaging with starting prices of just
$2.99. Lead time is approximately eight weeks, and samples are available
upon request. Further details are available on our datasheet located at http://products.pulseelex.com/files/product_files/P773.pdf,
