Ardica Technologies Appoints Michael Hillman, Pamela Strisofsky to its Board of Directors
Ardica Technologies, a leader in powerful, lightweight mobile energy
solutions, has appointed Michael Hillman and Pamela Strisofsky to its
Board of Directors.
Hillman recently completed a 16-year career at Apple (News - Alert), including as Chief
Architect of Desktop Product Design, where he was responsible for
architecture, design and engineering of numerous iconic Apple
products including the iMac, Mac Pro and a multitude of proprietary
technologies implemented across Apple's product portfolios, including
lithium polymer batteries and renewable energy. He has been awarded
28 utility patents, nine design patents and has over 30 pending patent
applications.
"Michael has been an enthusiastic fan and friend to Ardica for many
years now," said Kris Lichter, Chief Executive Officer of Ardica. "His
insights and support have been invaluable, and we are thrilled he is
joining Ardica as we broaden the applications for our novel energy
solutions."
"I am tremendously excited to be part of the Ardica team," Hillman said.
"Ardica continues to impress with their vision and execution in the
development of a truly empowering, transformative technology."
Pamela Strisofsky brings more than 25 years of finance, venture capital
and operating experience across both public and private organizations.
She is currently Executive Advisor of WealthForge, the industry leader
in sifting the private placement investment process from offline to
online.
Prior to her role at WealthForge, Strisofsky was Managing Director and
COO of Endowment Capital Group, a small cap, concentrated hedge fund.
She was also Managing Director and CFO of TL Ventures, an early-stage
venture capital firm with $1.5 billion under management. During her TL
tenure, she assisted the firm in raising more than $1.2 billion of
capital, administered the investment of more than $1.3 billion, and
returned more than $1.5 billion to TL's partners. Pam also served for
eight years as the CFO of and advisor to EnerTech Capital Partners.
"Pam has an exceptional background in strategic finance and operating
leadership," said Lichter. "She is a firm believer in Ardica's future,
and I'm very pleased to be partnering with her to commercialize our
solutions and expand our partner ecosystem."
"Ardica has quietly, but aggressively built itself a healthy,
competitive technology portfolio, and a growing customer pipeline,"
Strisofsky said. "I'm a big advocate of their relentless focus on
creating the next generation of disruptive energy solutions for today's
vast and diverse applications."
The additions of Hillman and Strisofsky to the Ardica board represent a
key inflection point for the company's ten-year journey of product
development, noted Lichter.
He added that Ardica's aluminum hydride fuel, Alane, is ideal for a wide
range of applications across government and industry verticals, and the
company's patented ability to manufacture this fuel at both scale and
low cost enables the company to unlock virtually any market. As a
result, demand for Ardica's cartridge-based energy solutions far
outstrips its current capacity.
"With Michael and Pam's support, Ardica is poised to free organizations
and individuals to use their devices as they see fit, instead of
worrying about how, when and where to recharge."
