The Who's Who's of Canadian Media were at the COPA Awards in Toronto to celebrate digital publishing excellence.
TORONTO, Nov. 27, 2015 /CNW/ - The Canadian media industry got together at the historic Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto, November 19 to see who was the Best in Canada for 2015 for digital publishing. The 6th Annual COPA Awards (twitter: #COPAwards) is a showcase of Canadian digital publishing talent and as is judged by a panel of experts in journalism, publishing, creative arts, media and digital/tech expertise. The big winner this year was the Globe and Mail with 7 medals (4 gold 3 silver) MacLean's Magazine with 6 (4G 2 S) and University Affairs with 5 (5 Gold). There are three awards category Business-to-Business (Blue), Consumer (Red) and Daily News and Current Events (Green) with 15 awards in each category. The Best in Canada Award for the top sores for the Best Digital Content went to the Globe and Mail, Best Digital Solution went to CTVNew.ca and the Independent Publisher of the Year was The Yummy Mummy Club (YMC). The awards were broadcast live on Twitter and were the 16th ranked trending Twitter hash tag in Toronto on November 19 according to www.trendinalia.com.
