VictorOps Announces New StatusPage.io Feature

VictorOps, the real-time incident management company, today announced a StatusPage.io feature update to its platform to solve for the pain associated with informing internal stakeholders of IT issues as they occur. StatusPage.io is a tool that helps web companies communicate with their customers (internally or externally) during periods of downtime.

"Small operations teams to large scale DevOps teams use VictorOps today to be notified of critical incidents, mobilize their technical teams, and interactively remediate problems in real time," said Todd Vernon, CEO of VictorOps. "It has become obvious in our larger customer segment that a technical team's ability to communicate system status to a larger internal constituency, such as Sales and Marketing, is a real pain point for these customers. This integration directly addresses that need creating a true enterprise wide solution."

This feature allows for internal communication to become highly visible and delivered in real-time, as details are entered via the VictorOps platform, directly into an organization's internal StatusPage. Updates can be crafted either from scratch or through pre-determined templates available in StatusPage.io. Teams can effectively spend more time fixing the issue and less time drafting updates with appropriate, easy to understand verbiage for a non-technical audience.

StatusPage.io also allows stakeholders to subscribe to updates relevant to their particular domain and captures all updates in the VictorOps timeline for real-time remediation and post-mortem reporting.

"Communication is key when trying to build trust internally in the midst of a critical incident. Beingable to communicate the 'need to knows' to everyone from engineering to marketing is crucial. The new functionality, available to joint customers of VictorOps and StatusPage.io, will make this communication happen in real-time." Scott Klein, Co-Founder of StatusPage.io.

In addition to the StatusPage.io feature, VictorOps is excited to announce a number of other important updates to their real-time incident management suite.

· Acknowledge by phone call - Users can already acknowledge and resolve alerts using VictorOps' web and mobile applications, but now those in highly regulated or non-mobile friendly industries can also acknowledge receiving these alerts using a touch-tone interface.

· Single sign-on (SSO) support - VictorOps now offers single sign-on support for both mobile and web.

· Timeline (News - Alert) route-key filtering support - Messages can now be filtered by route key, enabling users to remove irrelevant infrastructure updates from their timelines.

VictorOps and StatusPage.io will be exhibiting these updated features this week at AWS re:Invent (Booths #543 and #534) and co-hosting a party. Learn more about this functionality here and, if you're attending AWS, be sure to subscribe to their official AWS VictorOps/StatusPage here for prizes.
