Alfresco Supports Integration With Amazon Aurora
Alfresco
Software announced integration with Amazon Aurora, allowing Alfresco
One Enterprise 5.0 users to benefit from Amazon Web Services (News - Alert) (AWS)
newest database's scale, services and cost structure. Alfresco is a
leading provider of modern Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and
Business Process Management (BPM) software, which helps businesses
manage content and process workflows.
Amazon Aurora is a MySQL-compatible relational database management
system (RDBMS) that combines the speed and availability of a high-end
commercial database with the simplicity and cost-effectiveness of an
open source database. Amazon Aurora provides up to five times better
performance than MySQL at a price point one tenth that of a commercial
RDBMS while delivering performance and availability. Amazon Aurora joins
MySQL, Oracle (News - Alert), Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL as the fifth
relational database engine available to customers through Amazon
Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS). Amazon RDS handles routine
database tasks such as provisioning, patching, backup, recovery, failure
detection and repair.
Alfresco One is a hybrid architecture ECM platform that manages and
synchronizes content across cloud and on-premises repositories. Mobile

business-critical content wherever and however they work. Alfresco's
open, modern architecture enables easy extension and customization,
integrated records management simplifies and strengthens information
governance and compliance. Alfresco One manages more than seven billion
documents for thousands of companies worldwide.
"Amazon Aurora passed our tests with flying colors, particularly in its
ability to scale. The integration process between Alfresco One and
Amazon Aurora was seamless," Alfresco Founder and CTO John Newton said.
"Now we can provide even more value to our customers, allowing them to
experience Amazon Aurora's scale, cost-efficiency and support on
