Innovation, Compliance Preparation Highlight FICS'® 29th Annual User Conference
Financial Industry Computer Systems, Inc. (FICS®), a mortgage loan
origination software, residential
servicing software and commercial
servicing software provider, hosted close to 300 lenders, servicers
and industry partners at its 29th Annual Users' Conference in
Dallas.
This year's conference, provided users of FICS' technology solutions
including, Commercial Servicer, Loan Producer, Mortgage Servicer, and
their supporting software packages with demonstrations of new products,
education sessions targeting upcoming regulatory deadlines, and
user-focused workshops and panels.
A common theme throughout the conference was using technology and
innovation to constantly build a better user experience - both for users
of FICS' software and for these users' end customers. Dawn Gibbs,
CEO and chairman of the board for FICS, explained how FICS has
constantly evolved o serve its user base.
"At FICS, we aim to focus our development on what is needed, what is
truly useful, and what increases your productivity while continuing to
meet (and hopefully exceed) your expectations of the FICS experience,"
Gibbs said in her opening speech. "New ideas and initiatives are always
heavily researched, analyzed, and contemplated, and are always selected
based on the long-term best interest of you, your end users, your
borrowers, and this company."
Lenders and servicers at the conference cited the opportunity for
additional training, networking with peers, and education sessions to
prepare for the industry's big issues as primary draws.
"The annual FICS Users' Conference has consistently proven to be a
useful venue to interact with peers, FICS employees and special guests
in order to actively keep up with current mortgage trends and data,"
said Karin Chan, director of loan closing and servicing for Coral
Gables, Fla.-based American Real Estate Capital. "In addition, we look
forward to attending the conference each year as a means for
brainstorming new ideas for future development with other organizations
sharing the same common platform."
"As someone who has been to several FICS events in the past, interacting
with the staff and other attendees at the conference is like a reunion
with old friends and family," said Elizabeth Conrado, vice president of
residential lending for LBS Financial Credit Union. "I always walk away
with such great information and insights from sitting in on the sessions
and from talking with the FICS team, which only makes me look forward to
the next conference even more."
Susan Graham, president of FICS, in her keynote speech, spoke about the
continual evolution of services and delivery channels - and how this
helps lenders better serve borrowers. In 2014 alone, FICS updated
Mortgage Servicer®, its residential servicing platform, and
rolled out compliance-oriented updates and introduced more Web-based and
mobile tools for originators and servicers.
"So what makes a great customer experience? It's the combination of a
product that meets or exceeds the customer's expectations combined with
service that truly helps overcome obstacles or resolves issues," Graham
said. "Every change we make is designed to make your job easier, to give
you the tools needed to better comply with regulations and to enable you
to provide an outstanding experience to your borrowers."
The 2016 Users' Conference will be held April 6-8 in Dallas.
