VeloCloud SD-WAN Solution Enables Freewire to Offer 'Instant WAN' Services Nationwide
INTEROP - VeloCloud Networks Inc., a cloud networking company,
today announced a joint partnership, featuring a reseller agreement,
with Freewire,
a leading fixed wireless ISP based in the U.S. Pacific Northwest region.
By offering the VeloCloud cloud-delivered software-defined wide-area
network (SD-WAN) service, Freewire is now able to expand from regional
to nationwide operations while offering its customers nearly instant
branch-office WAN setup and configuration.
VeloCloud addresses one of the most challenging connectivity problems
that enterprises face-branch office and remote office networking-with an
enterprise-grade service that uses existing broadband connections and
can be up and running in minutes.
"We chose VeloCloud because their approach to WAN is light years ahead
of anything else on the market in terms of ease of use," said Ian
Haight, CEO and co-founder of Freewire. "Instead of waiting weeks or
months to build a branch network using a cable provider, customers can
receive a VeloCloud Edge device from us overnight and have a
full-fledged WAN operating within three minutes. You'd need multiple
providers to do what VeloCloud can do."
"VeloCloud's cloud-delivered SD-WAN technology is enabling Freewire to
expand beyond its Pacific Northwest base to offer coast-to-coast
services, starting at once," said Sanjay Uppal, CEO and co-founder of
VeloCloud. "Our partnership with Freewire is a great example of two
synergistic companies working together to make a fundamental difference
to companies grappling with the issues of branch and remote office
connectivity."
Partnership Extends Business for VeloCloud and Freewire
The partnership with Freewire broadens VeloCloud's distribution reach,
which also includes the VeloCoud Partner Program of value-added
resellers (VARs) and managed service providers (MSPs) that provide
enterprise-grade cloud networking services.
For Freewire, the partnership with VeloCloud is enabling the regional
company to become a fully nationwide service provider. Freewire expects
its revenues to grow 20 to 25 percent by the end of the year due to the
addition of the VeloCloud service. Freewire's current customers include
Tesla, Garmin, the Oregon Convention Center, New Seasons Market and
Hoffman (News - Alert) Construction, among others.
"Adding the VeloCloud cloud-delivered SD-WAN service to our offerings
has transformed our business overnight," said Haight. "It means we can
now set up a secured, fully managed WAN for customers with any number of
branches almost instantly, anywhere in the country, and with zero IT
expertise required at their end."
VeloCloud's SD-WAN Solution for Service Providers
The VeloCloud Cloud-Delivered SD-WAN solution helps build a secure,
reliable overlay using a combination of public and private circuits. It
consists of multi-tenant gateways located at cloud datacenters; dynamic
multipath optimization technology that steers WAN traffic nimbly to the
best path at any given moment; Cloud Orchestrator software with MSP
dashboard for real-time monitoring, orchestration and one-click
provisioning of virtual services; and a thin, zero-touch Edge device
that is the only hardware needed for instant access to a full range of
enterprise-grade performance, security and availability capabilities.
During the Interop (News - Alert) conference, April 28-30 in Las Vegas, VeloCloud is
exhibiting in booth #863. Freewire will speak at the VeloCloud booth on
April 29 at 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. and April 30 at 1 p.m. and will have
representatives available to answer questions. Contact Barry Lowry,
Freewire's vice president of sales and marketing, to schedule a
discussion at 503-686-9202.
