Newport News, Virginia, Chooses Tyler Technologies' Permitting and Land Management Software
Tyler Technologies (News - Alert), Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the
city of Newport News, Virginia, for Tyler's EnerGovTM
permitting and land management software suite, part of Tyler's planning,
regulatory and maintenance solutions. The city wanted a modern, fully
integrated solution that would improve business processes, as well as
provide employees and residents expanded online access.
Tyler's EnerGov solution will help Newport News reduce labor intensive
and redundant procedures through more intuitive and streamlined
permitting, planning, land use and code enforcement functions. Also,
EnerGov's infused GIS technology will use the city's spatial data to
automate and modernize daily operations.
With Web-enabled applications and self-service kiosks, EnerGov will
expand the city's public access availability, and its mobile
applications will provide staff real-time access to data while in the
field. EnerGov offers city staeholders increased automation while
giving residents better operational transparency.
The city will benefit from Tyler's evergreen perpetual licensing
approach that provides regular and significant, yet manageable, software
enhancements without an additional relicensing or service fee, ensuring
all systems are using the latest technology.
