Journalists and media personalities got an early start on new product announcements, sneak previews, and news through the invitation only event. This was the third year of the event, which grew to 40 exhibiting companies, up from 25 exhibitors in 2009 and 14 in 2008.
Showstopper is a 17-year-old company that produces press-only events. It organizes a number of events that include company launches, product introductions, sneak previews and hands-on product demos for reporters, editors, columnists, bloggers and analysts who cover business, consumer, lifestyle and digital products for work, home and play. Its events are attended by a number of industry leaders, innovators, startups and upstart companies, which help the media personalities in generating news coverage and product reviews, make new connections, promote brand, and open new markets.
Peter Lindgren, CEO of VisiArc, a company that provide mobile solutionsthat bring the desktop experience to the mobile, commented that this was company’s first ShowStoppers event, and the launch for Mobile Documents.
