Telit Wireless Solutions Unveils New Cloud Service

Telit Wireless (News - Alert) Solutions, known for being a global provider of high-quality machine-to-machine (M2M) solutions, services and products, announced Thursday February 21st the release of the Remote Module Management (RMM) cloud service, which is a global Mobile Device Management (MDM) service to assist in the management and support of M2M devices, according to a report on eejournal. Telit has plans to continue growing the value and functionality of m2mAIR in many different value-added services in the M2M communication space and the Internet of Things (IoT).

RMM is the M2M industry’s novel industrial scale MDM service, which is based on the communication module, Telefónica’s M2M services. It is available to customers via m2mAIR’s Internet-based service delivery platform. Using the service does not require integration or development effort of the customer. It enables speedy reconciliations to many common M2M deployment challenges and RMM embedded technology allows support representatives to remotely and seamlessly gather network measurements as well as location information. Following collection of measurement data, the use user may make decisions such as where roaming devices are located, the coverage quality, and which operators are visible to the device, as a few examples.

Using m2mAIR’s RMM allows users real time insight into the cellular service condition troubled devices have accumulated, a service not available to nearly all M2M adopters, and ultimately helps the user find the root problem and find units.
