SecureKey Technologies Inc., along with its partner, Broadcom (News - Alert), will demo its new cloud-based line of mobile payment and identity applications in Barcelona at the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2013.
The Mobile World Congress is an annual event that brings experts in the mobile industry together to discuss the latest in mobile technology. This year’s theme is ‘The New Mobile Horizon,’ which will bring together solutions and services from a range of areas.
Due to the popularity of the event, SecureKey and Broadcom thought it would be the preferred place to debut its new Mobile POS, Mobile identity validation, and multifactor authentication applications.
“Mobile World Congress is the perfect venue to introduce and demonstrate the strong authentication capabilities of our cloud-based authentication service for secure mobile applications, and as a preeminent supplier of mobile platform solutions, Broadcom is the ideal partner for conducting this demonstration,” said Charles Walton, CEO at SecureKey. “By providing additional strong, two-factor authentication to allow people to easily log on to all their online services in a way that is reliable and secure, we hope to solve the trust problem of federated identification.”
In addition, Mohamed Awad, Broadcom Director, Product Marketing, Mobile and Wireless said he could not be more proud that the two companies have come together to show off their latest innovations.
“As a leading provider of NFC chipsets, Broadcom is pleased to showcase Mobile POS applications with SecureKey at Mobile World Congress,” said Awad. “…Through our collaboration with SecureKey, we now add authentication and mobile payment acceptance to the list of supported applications. The partnership with SecureKey is a natural next step as we continue building industry leading, highly integrated, NFC platforms for easy adoption by mobile, gaming, and consumer electronics OEMs.”
The Mobile World Congress 2013 is currently running in Barcelona, February 25-28.
