At the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona, Interop, a provider of advanced messaging over-the-air handset management and connectivity gateway solutions, plans to showcase its Rich Communication Services (RCS) solution during Open Mobile (News - Alert) Alliance (OMA) Demo Day on February 27.
The Open Mobile Alliance supposedly brings users the future of wireless with demos from across the mobile industry. At the OMA demo day, attendees will hear presentations and browse live, innovative demos featuring OMA Enablers from OMA member companies.
Damian Sazama (News - Alert), vice president of corporate and product marketing for Interop Technologies commented, “We are pleased to participate in OMA Demo Day by showcasing the Interop (News - Alert) Technologies RCS solution. By leveraging multiple OMA enablers, we can ensure the full compliance and interoperability of the Interop RCS solution as this technology evolves.”
The OMA Demo Day takes place on February 27 between 3:30 and 7:00 PM in Hall 8, Theatre C, Fira Gran Via. Interop’s demonstrations of its RCS solution will include the specifications by the OMA that were integrated into solution, and its capabilities for one-to-one and group messaging, as well as interworking between RCS and legacy meeting services.
Interop claimed that its RCS solution mitigates the threat of over-the-top services that are threatening operators’ traditional messaging revenue. With its IP-based RCS solution, one can add value to their existing messaging services by providing subscribers rich, in-demand features. By aligning with the GSMA (News - Alert)-managed RCS Blackbird and Crane releases, the solution offers true RCS compliance and can integrate with any RCS client, delivering users the freedom to choose one or more clients for their devices that best support their business objectives and subscriber preferences.
Also Interop’s cloud-based technology includes multiple RCS version 5 features, making it the most advanced RCS solution available today.
