Brightstar to Showcase Customized Wireless Solutions Portfolio at WMC
Global specialized wireless distributor Brightstar (News - Alert) Corp. announced that it is going to showcase its comprehensive portfolio of wireless solutions at this year’s Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona.
In a press release, Brightstar explained that its customized wireless solutions span the entire life cycle of the device. The wireless device value chain comprises a number of participants including manufacturers, operators, retailers/etailers, enterprise, governments, VARs and Consumers. With the emergence of an array of new devices in the market, all these participants are facing new challenges in the management of wireless portfolio.
Shifting consumer tastes and growth and maturity of the markets around the world have further added to the complexities. Brightstar has reportedly expanded its service portfolio to address these challenges. At the same time, the company is reportedly leveraging its global reach and local expertise to capitalize on the opportunities that today’s wireless industry is opening up.
Brightstar’s portfolio currently comprises more than 100 customized, world-class services and solutions, aimed at helping the wireless manufacturers, operators, retailers, and enterprises meet the evolving industry needs. Some of major players in the wireless industry are using the Brightstar solutions to manage their device supply chain.

According to Brightstar, its services and solutions are helping the clients to simplify the complexities of the entire life cycle of a device -- from activation and billing, to insurance, repairs and even trade in and buy back.
Recently Brightstar was selected by Cricket to provide device protection for Cricket customers in the U.S.
The device protection service, delivered through Brightstar's subsidiary eSecurite, will provide Cricket customers with protection against loss, theft, damage, malfunction and issues experienced beyond the handset manufacturer's conventional warranty.
The service is applicable for a wide range of devices, including tablets, the company informed.
