The Rovi Corporation, a provider of digital entertainment solutions and entertainment discovery solutions, recently announced in a press release that it plans to display new additions to its technology and service portfolio at the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert), February 27 to March 1, 2012.
One of the solutions Rovi plans to showcase at Mobile World Congress is the Rovi Entertainment Store. A white-labeled solution used in launching OTT storefronts, the Rovi Entertainment Store gives audiences access to new movies and TV shows on multiple platforms and devices.
Rovi also plans to unveil its DivXPlus Streaming solutions at Mobile World Congress. This adaptive streaming solution boasts multimedia features that ensure over-the-top entertainment experiences. The solution is based on DivX technologies and is integrated by SoC (System-on-a-Chip) manufacturers to enhance their platforms.
Rovi Cloud Services is another set of services that will be displayed during Mobile World Congress. These services speed up app development and enable connected customers to distinguish their offerings with sophisticated capabilities. These services are available on mobile platforms like iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows and Symbian (News - Alert).

Meanwhile, Rovi Corporation and Pantech Wireless, Inc. recently announced that Pantech’s new Pantech Element tablet has received the DivX HD certification. This is the first DivX Certified Pantech tablet for the US market and consumers will be able to get the Android (News - Alert)-based Pantech Element through AT&T. Pantech Wireless, Inc is the U.S.-based subsidiary of Pantech Co., Ltd.
