D2 Technologies Showcases mCUE 4G for Mobile Devices at Mobile World Congress
If you know D2 Technologies’ (News - Alert) COO, Doug Makishima, you know that when it comes time to represent his company – a provider in embedded IP communications software for next generation mobile devices- he has a hard time sitting still, attending nearly every relevant conference and event in the communications and technology space.
D2’s recently launched mCUE 4G for Mobile Devices is a converged 4G mobile communications client for Voice over LTE (News - Alert) (VoLTE) and rich communications (RCS) video calling, and has been featured already this year at tech shows such as CES and ITEXPO. This week, D2 will be showcasing the mCUE at Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2012 in Barcelona.
mCUE 4G is tightly integrated and optimized for the Android OS platform to help carriers and device manufacturers deliver IMS communications features for smartphones, tablets, media phones and other mobile devices, according to the company.
"Interoperability is one of the key product features for mCUE 4G," noted Doug Makishima, chief operating officer for D2 Technologies. "It solves a key problem for carriers by delivering a seamless user experience even as mobile devices roll in and out of 4G, 3G, 2G and WiFi (News - Alert)/WiMAX networks. mCUE 4G gives carriers the confidence to guarantee the superior voice and video quality that consumers have come to expect regardless of network."
According to D2, mCUE 4G will power the first all-IMS Android smartphone for YTL's Yes 4G network and will be demonstrated in GSMA's (News - Alert) Rich Communications area (Hall 8, Stand #C118) of the GSMA Pavilion on Feb. 27-29 at 8:45 a.m.-2:15 p.m. and Thurs. March 1, from 8:45 a.m. -12:30 p.m.
"YTL Communications is pleased to have launched the world's first fully converged nationwide 4G network," said Wing K. Lee, CEO of YTL Communications in Malaysia. "Our award-winning network will soon welcome the world's first multi-mode converged Android smartphone that would give our customers unmatched communications freedom, complete with superior 4G speed and IP-telephony capabilities that far surpass existing consumer-grade GSM devices. We are excited to partner with D2 in clinching another world's first."
