RGB Networks To Showcase Solutions At Mobile World Congress 2011

RGB Networks, the industry leader in high-capacity multi-screen video delivery, will demonstrate its solutions for delivery optimization of tablet, PC, video to mobile and TV environments at the Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) 2011 to be held at Barcelona from February 14th through 17th. RGB will showcase TransAct Packager and its award-winning Video Multiprocessing Gateway (News - Alert) (VMG) at the world congress.

In a release, Ramin Farassat, vice president of product marketing and business development for RGB Networks, said that “Video is becoming a key element of any mobile service provider's offering and should play an essential part in any operator's strategy to compete. However, all too often infrastructure challenges and cost can act as barriers to adoption. As we'll demonstrate at Mobile World Congress, RGB Networks' products provide a multi-device IP delivery solution that can scale for any size deployment, while delivering a sound return on investment through ad insertion.”

The TransAct Packager solution facilitates formatting and delivery of high-quality video content on any IP-capable device, whereas VMG is the industry's only carrier-class platform for multi-screen video delivery. These two solutions are capable of impeccable video delivery to a multitude of devices such as large screen HDTV, laptop PC, iPhone, iPad and iPhone Samsung (News - Alert) Galaxy Tab, thus demonstrating the ease with which premium content can be delivered in MPEG-2 and MPEG-4/H.624 formats concurrently to any device. VMG's ad insertion capabilities by which providers can extend their advertising tactics for including any type of video-enabled device would also be demonstrated at the show.

The inevitable need for a highly scalable, high-capacity real-time transcoding solution and a flexible solution to 'package' output streams for a number of adaptive streaming protocols along with encryption and support for digital rights management (DRM) for delivering quality mobile video services are being addressed by RGB through its multi-screen video delivery solution. The RGB solution which ensures minimal wastage of resources and management time is appropriate for any deployment without having to break the bank or consume unnecessary rack space.
