Exinda Looks to Capitalize on Growing WAN Assurance Demand

The market for WANs and related tools is growing by leaps and bounds, and any company that can provide a better experience for the end-users of same is likely to see some very nice gains in their overall picture. A perfect example of this trend is Exinda, who has recently announced some terrific gains in its revenues and market share following a thoroughly impressive 2011.

How impressive? In 2011, Exinda recorded a 116 percent jump in year-on-year revenues. Growing only slightly less was their market share in WAN optimization, which merely doubled in the same interval. Exinda added fully 600 new customers to its roster in that same year, and approximately 200 of them were customers that were formerly looking to other companies to provide their WAN assurance solutions. Exinda upped its total number of deals by 82 percent, and of those, the average size of the deal increased 18 percent over the year. The Asia-Pacific sector provided enormous, triple-digit growth while the EMEA and other markets saw some reasonably impressive gains as well.

Exinda also holds a leadership role in several important markets, including counting eight out of 10 top hotel brands as clients for the Exinda Hospitality Network, and six million students working with the Exinda Learning Network. Thus, they have a terrific reputation in the field to back up their outstanding numbers.

Moreover, Exinda doesn't plan to rest on its laurels, either; they've secured $12 million in new funding, and brought in a variety of new talent to its executive posts like Novell and LANDesk (News - Alert) veteran, Nolan Rosen, as their new CMO, British Telecom and AT&T alum, Jack Nash, for their CTO, and Rajeev Mitroo, formerly of Intel, as VP of Sales in the Asia-Pacific / Japan theater of operations.

Exinda is very well positioned to carry on its big gains; maybe they won't be quite as big as 2011 (it's hard to double anything every year for very long), but they're going to do all they can to make sure the numbers at least manage to stay impressively high.

For those interested in getting a better look at Exinda's product line, they will be showing off their Edge line for branch networks at the Interop (News - Alert) show May 8-10 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.
