Versus to Unveil Business Intelligence Software Automated by RTLS At HIMSS14

Real-time Locating System (RTLS) automates workflows, reduces data entry and accurately documents performance metrics. This has become an important component of several verticals and thus is in high demand. There are various possible applications of RTLS in the healthcare industry.

Versus Technology specializes in Real-time Locating Systems (RTLS) for healthcare. Used by more than 700 hospitals for enterprise patient tracking, bed management, asset tracking, and nurse call automation, Versus improves patient flow and documentation of caregiver and patient interactions, while enhancing communication and efficiency.

The company recently celebrated 25 years of successful workflow automation in healthcare. Towards this, it is set to launch several advancements in its Real-time Locating System at the annual Health Information Management Systems Society conference, February 24-27, 2014 in Orlando, Fla.

The conference will see Versus exhibiting Version 5.0 of its advanced reporting software, Reports Plus Analytics. Key upgrade includes several new reports specifically focused on daily healthcare problems like workflow efficiency, capacity management, safety, and resource allocation. These reports, developed hand-in-hand with healthcare administrators and clinicians, is believed to offer unprecedented insight into facility workflows, trends and benchmark achievement.

Also the company will be unveiling certain new reporting packages where new options for non-invasive RTLS installation will also be on display, including a new, soon to be released Wi-Fi option. Versus' multiple mix-and-match platforms allow facilities to quickly and easily add locations to their existing RTLS, or plan for future expansions.

The company’s wireless V-Fi platform is designed to allow its users to leverage their existing Wi-Fi infrastructure without sacrificing the accuracy necessary for workflow automation. The plug-in Smart-IR sensor detects locations using Versus' patented, accurate infrared (IR) technology and transmits data using existing Wi-Fi access points.

Mentioning its 2nd-generation V-Link platform, the company emphasized that it is easy to install, with battery-powered sensors that don't burden the Wi-Fi network.

Apart from this, the Versus V-Direct wired platform, now in its 11th generation, is claimed to offer the lowest total cost of ownership and minimal maintenance.

Versus is also hosting several education sessions where its clients and clinicians will present several 20-minute education sessions on hand hygiene, patient flow, staff safety and more.
