Kineto Wireless (News - Alert), an innovator and supplier of solutions that enable delivery of mobile services over broadband, announced Steve Shaw, vice president of corporate marketing for Kineto Wireless, is participating in a Special Interest Seminar at CTIA (News - Alert) Wireless 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The seminar entitled, “The Path to 4G” is scheduled on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 from 1:30 p.m. to 2:15 p.m. PT.

Shaw will be speaking on the panel, “Delivering Voice, Video and Other Applications in a 4G World,” as a member of the VoLGA Forum. Other participants include MobiTV, Comcast Corporation, and 3G Americas (News - Alert)

The event will be moderated by Susan Welsh de Grimaldo, director of mobile broadband opportunities at Strategy Analytics.

The discussion will focus on how voice, video and messaging services will be delivered over 4G networks and examine how carriers will deploy IP Multimedia Subsystem (News - Alert) or “IMS” solutions deliver to next-generation applications such as VOIP and video to consumers.

As part of the event, Kineto will be demonstrating its Smart Wi-Fi Application for the Android (News - Alert) operating system, the company said. The application lets mobile operators use Wi-Fi improve cellular coverage and increase network capacity in the places where subscribers need it most – in the home and at the office.

Earlier this year Kineto Wireless announced a new Smart Wi-Fi Offload solution addresses network challenges created by smartphones.

Company officials said Smart Wi-Fi Offload solution turns existing Wi-Fi access points into extensions of a mobile operator network, enabling smartphone users to receive all mobile services over Wi-Fi, including voice, SMS, data, IMS and Web-based services.
