40,000 Reasons for Wireless Recycling

ReCellular, the official partner of CTIA Wireless (News - Alert) 2008 will display 40,000 cell phones on-site, (the average number of used phones retired in the U.S. every year) to demonstrate the need for increased wireless recycling.
ReCellular (News - Alert) will also provide wireless collection centers all over the hall as the foundation of the "Going Green" theme for CTIA Wireless 2008.

Chuck Newman, founder and CEO of ReCellular said, "This is a great opportunity to build awareness for recycling and support the wireless industry's work to reduce the footprint of our business."
ReCellular collects 4 million phones per year (energy to power 7,600 homes for a year) through corporate, charitable and grassroots collections programs. Working with almost 100 charities across the country, ReCellular has raised a commendable $16 million for non-profit causes.
David Diggs (News - Alert), vice president of CTIA said, “This is a natural extension of the agency's ‘wireless...the new recyclable’ initiative”.
