Mimoco Releases New Product Line of MIMOMICRO Card Readers and Drives at CES
Mimoco, a Boston-based design house and developers of the MIMOBOT designer USB flash drives, announced the introduction of MIMOMICRO, its new and innovative product line of personal data storage devices. The company's latest offering builds on its highly successful and popular MIMOBOT collection by delivering customers with a line of products that are more compact and flexible. The MIMOMICRO product line can be used as a simple USB flash drive featuring interchangeable microSD memory cards, or it can double up as a microSD card reader to enable data transfer between mobile devices, tablets, digital cameras and mp3 players as well as e-readers, and the user’s computer.
MIMOMICRO has been designed with three dimensional sculpted characters and features an industry first series of vehicles. The product comes in a cap-free design and features a flip out USB plug in addition to a built-in key-chain as well as a LED indicator light. The compact 1.6" H x 1.0" W form of the MIMOMICRO is reflective in its name and is expected to be ready for launch by March.
The initial first two releases of the MIMOMICRO product line feature an array of designs which include Star Wars characters namely Darth Vader, Yoda, C-3PO, Chewbacca, as well as the Millennium Falcon in addition to comic book characters from DC Universe which include Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman. The product will be made available for purchase at select retail outlets across the globe and at Mimoco.com by March of this year.
In a release, Evan Blaustein, CEO of Mimoco, said, "As the pioneers in the licensed flash drive marketplace, we're excited to unveil our first new product line to build upon the success of our popular MIMOBOT platform. MIMOMICRO leverages compatibility with both USB and microSD enabled memory devices and taps into the growing usage of mobile memory solutions. We're thrilled to introduce this new co-branded product alongside licensing partners Lucas Licensing and Warner Bros Consumer Products. MIMOMICRO gives our customers the ability to select and upgrade their favorite characters' memory capacity and an easy way to transfer data from mobile phones, tablets, and cameras to computers.”
