Invoxia's NVX 610 VoIP Conference Phone Big Hit at CES 2012
Invoxia is redefining the landline telephone with their NVX 610 VoIP desktop conference phone.
With a VoIP line/mobile convergence tool the phone allows users to receive calls made to their mobile as well as the Invoxia phone. It’s rather easy to start making calls as you simply plug in your iOS device into the 30-pin dock, or use its Bluetooth capabilities.
Once the Apple (News - Alert) device is plugged in the phone merges your mobile contacts with your business, so they can be found in one place. With the Apple plugged into the system you can begin making VoIP calls instead of through your wireless carrier network.
At the recent Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, Cult of Mac reported that despite the phone’s diminutive size they were impressed with the audio quality even in the noisy showroom. The reason for the excellent audio quality is the phone’s eight different speakers.
According to the review, Invoxia’s phone base has eight separate microphones that can pinpoint the location of the user’s voice that way the phone can focus on the important audio and get rid of any extra noise.
However, if two NVX 610 phones are being used to call each other than the phone enables its eight microphones to differentiate between users based on where they’re sitting in a room, as reported by Engadget. For example, if two groups are participating in a conference call and a person sitting on the right speaks then the receiving group will hear the respondent’s voice in the right speaker.
The Invoxia NVX 610 VoIP conference phone comes in six different colors including gray, white, orange, lime green, blue and black. Starting price for the NVX 610 is $599, so although it may be too much phone for the home, it’s perfect for the office.
