Polkast to Demonstrate Successful Integration with ZyXEL IP Media Server at CES
Polkast, a revolutionary personal cloud service that securely connects a user's computers and mobile devices directly, recently revealed it will showcase a prototype of its seamless integration with the ZyXEL IP Media Server NSA300 series at the CES (News - Alert) event which is currently taking place in Las Vegas.
Officials said that the integration of Polkast into ZyXEL's digital home solutions will transform the in-home network and entertainment content into a secure personal cloud.
As many companies today are moving to the cloud and are continuing to demand content rich experiences, IP media server is stepping up to meet the demand.
For consumers who have large media libraries which go beyond the storage capacity of most computers, network storage devices such as this IP media server will prove to be a great solution. Also, the personal cloud is an ideal solution for direct anytime access to large media libraries.
Due to this integration, users will now be able to secure anytime access to files from any authorized device. They will also be allowed to easily search files, browse photos and play music stored on the server.
It is also possible for the users to share files that reside on their media server seamlessly and securely, even while away from their home. Unlike third party cloud storage solutions, the content stays within the user's control in their own home network environment.
"Porting to connected storage devices is an important step for Polkast in advancing the personal cloud," said Hong Bui, CEO of Polkast, in a release. "ZyXEL is an awesome partner because they share our vision, and they have a broad portfolio of networking devices for both consumers and business, with global distribution. We're thrilled to be working with them."
