The key product categories include, Wireless HDTV, Display & Projectors, PC-to-TV, Tablet & Mobile, and many others. The demonstration will be focussed on leveraging WHDI technology for in-room and multi-room audio, video and control connectivity, as well as new standard which aims at ensuring that CE devices manufactured by different vendors will simply and directly connect to one another. WHDI Promoters include AMIMON Inc., Hitachi (News - Alert), Ltd., LG Electronics, Inc., Motorola Inc., Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Sharp Corporation and Sony Corporation.

The new additions to the WHDI extensive product suite will further highlight WHDI’s ability to provide a HD wireless solution for all PC and CE devices, applications and consumer uses cases. Consumers only need to look for the WHDI logo to ensure that all of their devices will be able to work together. In the Wireless HDTV, Display & Projectors category, CE manufacturers such as Haier, Hisense (News - Alert), TCL, and Vivitek will be demonstrating WHDI enabled wireless HDTV products.

WHDI provides a robust wireless connection that can deliver 1080p HD and 3D video, in the same room, or around the house as well as "over-the-air" switching capabilities which can be achieved utilizing a WHDI transmitter hub with multiple source devices connected to a seamless and lag free switch from source device to another from the HDTV.

The PC-to-TV category will be represented by products from ASUS, Brite-view and LG Innotek. AMIMON's WHDI Stick has been selected as a CES Innovations 2011 Design and Engineering Award honoree in the "Video Components" category. WHDI delivers superior 3D and HD image quality and low-latency so users can play PC games on an HDTV, as well as surf the internet and watch Internet videos from the PC on the TV. The Tablet & Mobile category will include exhibition of tablet designs and products by Gemtek (News - Alert), FIC and Malata.

In a press release, president of WHDI LLC, Leslie Chard, said, "No other standard can match WHDI's range, robustness, low latency and performance; WHDI is the only standard that can bring together all devices and enable all applications. This wave of new products and designs clearly highlights WHDI position as the market leader in providing HD wireless connection products; no other HD wireless technology comes close to the amount/number of products and variety of different types products available to consumers."
