CES News: Snippets from the Edges of the Consumer Electronics Show
Tablets, HD everything, 3D and 4G clearly are the prevalent trends at this week’s Consumer Electronics Show.
A wall of HD screens on the edge of LG’s booth at CES got the eye of many a show attendee.
But, on the outskirts of the city-sized booths of such companies as LG and Panasonic are a lot of very little companies hawking their wares. And some of those products are strange and wonderful.
Here are some of my favorites:
The ArtPro Nail Printer: This is a little printer that would be used at a salon. The salon customer chooses the design of their choice, and that design is then applied to an acrylic nail for their finger. It’s offered by a company called Guangzhou Taiji Electronic Co. Ltd.
Sphero: If you like playing with balls, enjoy using remote controllers and have a cell phone, this solution is for you. Sphero is a robotic ball that can be controlled using an app running on your cell phone.
The Bone Collection by fruitshop.com: This collection features a wide assortment of adorable mini rubber figures who have USB drives at their core. The ninjas are pictured here, but the penguins, bunnies and Christmas scene character were pretty cute too. They’re available through the company’s site and via Amazon, eBay (News - Alert) and vending machines at Macy’s stores.
