Definition:

A two-way radio installation that is typically located in an enterprise customer's premises (hence, Customer Premises Equipment or CPE) or a service providers Central Office (CO). Also known as network access or edge technology. Metro citywide base station WiMax architecture will consist of subscriber connections and backhaul connections to CO switching or Internet and other network connections.
