Definition:

There are many types of video stream. One type compresses video frames into smaller packets (size and resolution) for use on the internet. Another type of streaming is used by cable operator and satellite distribution companies for Movies On Demand. Stream Control Transmission Protocol has been suggested as a potential replacement for TCP to overcome some limitations like order-of-transmission. For more go to www.ietf.org RFC 2960.
