Founder, Chief Technology Officer
Jagan Jagannathan is a seasoned technologist with over thirty years of research and development experience in the fields of virtualization performance management, network security, HPC applications, and dataflow programming. Currently, Jagan is founder and CTO at Xangati and has applied new techniques to provide a highly-scalable architecture to track tens of thousands of objects with their hundreds of thousands of interactions every second and correlate these metrics to illuminate multi-dimensional performance issues.
Prior to Xangati, Jagan was VP of Engineering at Reactive Network Solutions where he focused on DDoS defense products, Principal Engineer at Xerox PARC helping productize PARC’s innovations, and Senior Staff Engineer at Sun Microsystems where he helped develop the first Java-based visual dataflow programming tool (Java Studio).
Jagan was also the Senior Computer Scientist at SRI International where he helped develop the world’s first intrusion detection system (IDES and NIDES) and a novel system for multidimensional parallel processing (GLU) with prestigious grants from DARPA, NSF and NSA. Jagan has authored a book, Multidimensional Programming, several contributed book chapters and over thirty publications in refereed journals and conferences. He is the co-inventor of many granted and pending patents in the areas of image processing and network management. Jagan received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Waterloo.
