History and Background
TMC Labs began our mission in early 1996 as CTI Labs, coinciding with the debut of CTI magazine. With the addition of product reviews written for several TMC publications, including Cloud Computing, IoT Evolution, Customer, and Internet Telephony, we changed to a more fitting name -TMC Labs.
TMC Labs is comprised of an experienced staff of engineers who know how to effectively communicate, and it is our job to acquire, install, evaluate and relay to our readers the advantages and pitfalls of the latest hardware and software for several high-tech markets.
In the beginning, the TMC publishers defined our mission: "To conduct unbiased and objective product reviews in the style of the best computer magazines, but focused on industry specific technologies such as call center technologies and CRM."
Today, TMC Labs' mission has evolved to also include leading and emerging communications and technology fields - including VoIP, IP communications, telecom, contact centers, CRM, cloud computing, IoT, and much more.
We have built a solid reputation, and we pledge to continue providing the most complete, most objective and most definitive product reviews in the trade.
TMC Labs prides itself on providing objective and detailed analysis of a vendor's product. We do this not only for the reader's benefit, but also for the vendor's benefit so that they may improve their product and hence its marketability and sales results. A vendor might ask us "How do we know you won't trash our product?" Well, we can't guarantee a "favorable" test result or a favorable write-up, as this would negate our objectivity. But what we can say is that one of the key deciding factors for purchasing a product or service is researching an unbiased expert opinion, which includes independent product reviews.
