Perspica Launches Incident Replay, an Application Infrastructure Time Machine
Perspica has launched a new, breakthrough solution called Incident Replay that delivers application infrastructure intelligence across hybrid-cloud environments. Offered as a subscription service, this solution provides past, present and predictive analytics in order to keep applications up and running at desired service levels. In this way, Perspica is describing Incident Replay as a sort of time machine for the application stack.
Perspica was founded to provide the fastest way for IT operations staff to accurately identify the root cause of existing and emerging performance issues in virtualized data centers. To help its customers accomplish this, the company deploys the innovative Perspica Incident Replay Algorithm, which quickly and easily identifies root causes, while displaying the exact topology, performance anomalies and event logs at the moment of service impact.
In total, Incident Replay offers four key benefits:
- Visibility into an application stack with a complete view of performance data, logs and topology, while providing TechOps and DevOps teams with tools to visualize all layers and siloes of the application stack. This enables definitive post-mortem and real-time automated root cause analysis to improve time to repair.
- Reduced false positives thanks to Perspica’s heuristic anomaly detection, which leverages advanced machine learning algorithms to massively reduce the occurrence of false alarms and provide actionable recommendations.
- Prevention of downtime with early warnings from behavior profiling and predictive analysis that together detect anomalous trends to stop issues before they impact application performance.
- Past, present and predictive analytics across hybrid cloud environments to keep mission-critical applications up and running. More than a dozen companies and government agencies have experienced these benefits in the product’s early adoption phase.
“We are excited to bring to market the world's first 'application infrastructure time machine' that combines topology and performance data,” said Dan Maloney, CEO of Perspica. “It helps overburdened IT teams identify problems and mitigate risks by analyzing the continuous changes to the application infrastructure stack. We are able to track when an incident occurs and automatically identify the root cause to provide IT departments with the ability to gain real answers immediately. Similar to instant replay during the big game, Perspica provides Incident Replay for big data.”
