Aeriandi to Boost Partnership with Sage Pay

By Casey Houser, Contributing Writer

Merchants that accept payment through credit cards must adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI (News - Alert)-DDS) in order to protect customer data and remain in lockstep with federal regulations. Such operations may accept payments online or over the phone, so it makes sense that a number of private companies have built their reputations on protecting those transmission mediums.

Aeriandi, a provider of secure, cloud-based voice services for a number of industries, recently announced that it will extend its relationship with Sage Pay, a developer of its own payment software. The two companies have previously worked together and will now combine their services into one package that will have Sage Pay introduce Aeriandi to any of its clients that require PCI-DDS compliance.

Matthew Bryars, the CEO of Aeriandi, commented that both companies will use their expertise with voice and payment services to create a service that performs better than the sum of its parts – “a win-win for customers,” he said. Richard Aldred, the business development manager at Sage Pay, commented further on the partnership and the advantage it will offer his company in the payment processing market.

“Aeriandi and Sage Pay’s portfolios of secure voice and e-commerce solutions complement each other extremely well, making this partnership a natural fit,” Aldred said. “PCI-DSS compliance is a major talking point amongst every customer we speak with, so the ability to offer a highly secure, comprehensive solution covering both e-commerce and voice payments gives us a distinct competitive advantage.”

The pair expects to target a number of industries that are expected to rapidly grow in the years to come. Telecommunications companies, utility handlers, and retail businesses will sit among the top of the list. Although many businesses small and large process credit card companies, global telecom and retailers often see a scope of customer data handling that less pervasive industries will never realize.

With a wide range of customers and a constant need to process customer data, payment services from private service providers such as Aeriandi and Sage Pay can take companies a long way toward toward becoming more efficient in their operations. Furthermore, these private firms can make sure their clients remain in compliance with PCI-DDS regulations. No business in any market wants to fall behind on its compliance initiatives, so finding methods of managing their online and voice payments with one product can act as a godsend.
