Merchants that accept payment through credit cards must adhere to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI (News - Alert)-DDS) in order to protect customer data and remain in lockstep with federal regulations. The pair expects to target a number of industries that are expected to rapidly grow in the years to come. Telecommunications companies, utility handlers, and retail businesses will sit among the top of the list. Although many businesses small and large process credit card companies, global telecom and retailers often see a scope of customer data handling that less pervasive industries will never realize.
