NBC Forms Promotional Partnership with Mediaport By Brian Solomon TMCnet Web Editor The advertising agency which currently serves NBC—known as the NBC Agency--has announced that it has officially selected Mediaport to design both the software and hardware solutions needed by the company for its Consumer Electronics Show (CES (News - Alert)) display. Mediaport is set this month to provide the kiosks and digital software solutions needed to power the NBC Digital content portion of its 2008 CES display.
"Mediaport is helping us reach out to the digital savvy community,” said EVP of On-Air Advertising Frank Radice. “The company's media-on-demand kiosks are providing the perfect channel for us to reach and influence new target markets.”
Show attendees will be able to download NBC programs like 30 Rock and Project Runway from the Mediaport kiosks that will be located at the NBC Universal (News - Alert) booth at the CES.
Under the new partnership agreement, customers who download music will also see advertising from NBC promoting popular TV programs like Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Saturday Night Live and MSNBC content. These MediaATMs have the capacity to hold approximately one million tracks which can be downloaded to a portable device, memory stick, or compact disc. This is the second joint announcement that has been made by the two brands, following last October’s announcement of a groundbreaking advertising partnership which places NBC promotional content on Mediaport kiosks across the country.
