Itronix Releases GoBook Q-100, A Wireless,
Ultra-Rugged Handheld PC For Mobile Workforces
Itronix announced that it has
released its newest wireless handheld computer, the GoBook Q-100. The
GoBook Q-100 is being deployed to mobile workforces that operate in
demanding mission-critical environments throughout the US and Europe.
Combining wireless computing in a small and very rugged package means
the GoBook Q-100 will be used in a variety of demanding mobile computing
applications including meter reading, asset management, field service
management, inspections and various military applications.
"The GoBook Q-100 is a lightweight, ergonomic, ultra-rugged H/PC
(handheld personal computer) that is an ideal meter reading, field data
collection or asset management computing solution for field workers in
harsh environments," said Matt Gerber, Vice President of Marketing
for Itronix. "The GoBook Q-100 with its outdoor viewable
touchscreen display, integrated wireless capabilities and innovative
design, makes this handheld computer ideally suited to the needs of

The GoBook Q-100 runs both Windows CE Operating System and Pocket PC
2000. It has an IP 67 sealing rating making it virtually immune to
invasive water or dust. It is Mil Spec 810E rated to withstand multiple
drops onto concrete from 2 meters. The GoBook Q-100 is 9.6" in
length and 4" wide and is built from the ground up to operate in
demanding mission-critical environments. Inside the sealed, die-cast
magnesium housing is an Intel® processor that provides maximum
performance for Pocket PC or custom mobile applications. It is
lightweight-weighing in at just 28 oz. including batteries.
