iambic Unveils Upgraded Version Of Its E-mail
Client For Palm OS Devices
iambic, Inc. released an
upgraded version of its most technologically advanced e-mail client --
iambic
Mail. The product now supports the most advanced high-resolution
Palm
OS handheld devices available on the market, including the latest Sony
CLIÉ
PEG-NR70 and NR70V series and the Palm OS 5 platform. In addition,
iambic
Mail 3.0 includes a number of new features such as complete Short
Messaging
Service (SMS) support, a filtering feature to automatically redirect
incoming correspondence to different e-mail accounts, and a Virtual File
System (VFS) feature with which users can send and receive any type of
attachment directly on the handheld device.
iambic Mail 3.0 presents additional technological advancements
unparalleled
by any other e-mail client currently on the market with its complete
memory
card support with its VFS feature. In addition to composing, editing,
sending and receiving e-mail messages with iambic Mail, users can now
also
send and receive all types of attachments to e-mail messages. When
traveling
or away from a desk, these capabilities are instantly available without
synchronizing any info from the PC if the handheld device has a wireless
connection. Downloaded files can be any size or format -- whether it’s
a
spreadsheet, photo, image, picture, graphical data or a combination of
file
types. When on the go, attachments can be downloaded immediately or left
on
the e-mail server.
Additionally, iambic Mail 3.0 offers complete SMS support, available
for any
Palm OS device. Another attribute of iambic Mail 3.0 is the automatic
filtering capability of incoming e-mails directly on the handheld device.
Users can create multiple accounts on the handheld and set incoming e-mails
to automatically redirect to the appropriate accounts -- all invisible
to the
sender. This type of organization helps users instantly organize and
follow-up on incoming correspondence in the order of preference.
Among other features introduced in the latest version of iambic Mail,
there
is an additional speed advantage, allowing all digital information to be
received and sent 50 percent faster than before. This extra benefit adds
additional value to the performance of the software when receiving
attachments or messages.
