Internet and telephony services developer Spoonjack LLC has unveiled its new innovative service called “Scenes for Whooptones,” empowering phone users to insert background sounds during conversations.

Scenes are defined as looping sounds to fabricate an illusion that phone users are in different locations during a particular phone conversation. Without leaving their room or cars, users can project that they are virtually anywhere they want to be like airport, office, or even on a busy highway.

Spoonjack believes this will help users support their stories and entertain their callers.

In a press release, Spoonjjack President and Founder Tom A. Scharfeld stated, “Judging by preliminary feedback from our users, Scenes are useful and a lot of fun. We’ve heard of users doing everything from masking unexpected and inappropriate sounds from their home-office with sounds of a bustling office, to fooling friends into thinking they’re at the game with sounds of a cheering crowd. It’s remarkable how a little innocent ambiance can evoke powerful reactions from others - whether it’s making them believe a story, or changing their mind!”

To activate Scenes, users must visit the website (www.whooptones.com) before placing a call. It is does not require any hardware or software and is compatible with all kinds of phones. Mute and un-mute options are also available.

Moreover, users can create their own Scenes, in case they are not satisfied with Whooptone’s online library. These new Scenes may also be published for public consumption.

With regard to pricing, Spoonjack offers three blocks of prepaid minutes. Regardless of payment plan, access and storage of sounds is unlimited.
