Dexrex, an information technology company that provides consumer and business textual data management services for instant message (IM) networks and mobile text (SMS) messages, has released a new version of its BlackBerry (News - Alert) message archive application with full international carrier support.

In order to enhance online interactions, Dexrex has been providing free add-on for archiving IM and SMS text services that are well accepted in the industry. Dexrex launched this free application to the public in June, enabling BlackBerry users to instantly archive their SMS (text) messages online and view them later from any Web-enabled device.

This second release comes with international carrier support where consumers with international phone service can also use the application. Along with full international carrier support, Dexrex has added more functionality, user interface upgrades, and has included the ability for users to set up their accounts direct from the phone.

The newly released application is available for free download and all account holders can access additional features including forwarding, contact management, analytics, and deletion.

“We believe that our service is of great value to the global public, and that they deserve quality support,” said Derek Lyman, CEO and co-founder of Dexrex, in a statement. “Our goal was to hit a higher standard, creating a robust application worthy of the user. I believe we have done just that.”

Dexrex began in 2005 as a student project at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. In order to expand the usage of instant messaging and to enable a more flexible application, Dexrex launched its service a year later.
