Planet PDA Comes To San Francisco
Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC) is proud to announce "Planet
PDA -- The 3rd Global Summit On Enterprise And Custom Volume Handheld
Computing Solutions" (www.planetpdaexpo.com).
The world's largest PDA event that reaches enterprise decision makers will
be held September 24-27, 2002 at The Fairmont Hotel in San Francisco.
Planet PDA is the first enterprise focused PDA event that helps companies
understand the advantages of handheld enterprise computing and mobility
solutions. This one-of-a-kind event will allow handheld solutions providers
to reach Fortune 1,000-class enterprise and government customers seeking
custom volume handheld solutions.
The most recent Planet PDA last May in Boston grew 55% from the prior
event, not only because of its thorough conference program and enthusiastic
attendee base, but also because every major player in the handheld space was
there. Planet PDA is now the world's largest enterprise PDA event and
exclusively targets volume buyers.
"Having witnessed the state of technology shows this past year, it
is hard to believe that any of them are actually growing," said TMC
President, Rich Tehrani. "The 50 exhibitors at the last Planet PDA make
this event the largest handheld computing event in the world as well as the
only handheld computing event that is platform agnostic. I would really like
to thank Compaq, Avaya, Microsoft, Intel, HP, Symbol Technologies,
Interactive Intelligence, and Handheld Computing Group, only a few of the
companies that I feel have made this event so successful."
Planet PDA will offer a first-class forum for learning how handheld
devices -- when effectively deployed in the enterprise or another
environment -- can dramatically improve productivity. From seamless
anytime/anywhere access to corporate networks, to field sales and service
and vertical market applications, PDAs and other handheld devices are
transforming mobile workers from out-of-sight, out-of-mind road warriors
into never-out-of-touch contributors and collaborators.
Planet PDA will allow the leading handheld solution providers to make
their solutions mission-critical business tools by attracting the highest
quality audience possible. Please view a small sample of the titles and
industries represented in force at the last event:

"We've actually had an amazing amount of traffic, more than we had
at the last show in Vegas. We've made a lot of great contacts and we're
looking forward to the next show in San Francisco in the fall," said
Roger Toennis, Research & Development Manager, Avaya.
Marc Robins, TMC's Vice President of Publications and Trade Shows says,
"This one-of-a-kind event, designed to educate prospective enterprise
users seeking the best handheld computing solutions for their company,
continues to break registration records."
The TMC staff has developed an informative conference program designed to
educate attendees about how to strategically select, deploy, integrate and
support these productivity-enhancing handheld devices as an integral part of
their corporate computing infrastructure.
Specifically, sessions educate attendees about how to select devices and
applications, maintain security, develop wireless connectivity solutions,
develop customized applications, integrate network solutions, provide PDA
help-desk support, and more. In addition, case studies of companies who have
successfully implemented handheld devices into their enterprises will be
presented.
TMC is also proud to be collocating with "Planet PDA: a Wearable PC
Summit" (www.wearablepcsummit.com),
focusing on the wearable computing market, "Tablet PC Summit" (www.tmcnet.com/tabletpc), focusing
on tablet computing, and the "GPS & Location Technology
Summit" (www.tmcnet.com/planetpda/sf02/gpss.htm.)
These events take place on Tuesday, September 24 and will be followed by
Planet PDA, which takes place September 25-27.
