Steven T. (Terry) Clontz Joins Cloud9's Board of Directors

NEW YORK, May 4, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Cloud9 Technologies today announced that Steven T. Clontz, a 43-year veteran in the telecom industry and current Senior Executive VP International Operations for Singapore based ST Telemedia, will serve as Independent Director of its Board.

Terry's career highlights include his appointment as the first CEO of StarHub, a mobile, fixed line, and CATV operator in Singapore which was launched in 2000 and grew rapidly to become the second largest info-communications company in Singapore. He began his career as an Engineer at Southern Bell in 1973, and went on to hold various senior positions with BellSouth International from 1987 to 1995, where he focused primarily on investments in start-up Cellular companies, serving his last three years as President - BellSouth Asia Pacific. From Jan 1996, Terry served three years as CEO and President of the New York based IPC Information Systems, Inc., a global leader in voice trading technology.

Terry has considerable experience serving in both board and advisory roles for a number of successful telecommunication and technology companies. In addition to his role with ST Telemedia, he serves as a Corporate Advisor to Temasek. His current Board service includes Chairman of Singapore based StarHub, Independent Director of Colorado based Level 3, Independent Director of Virgin Mobile Latin America, and Independent Director of Singapore based PSA International. Recent Board service includes serving as Independent Director of Pennsylvania based InterDigital Communications for 16 years, retiring as Chairman in 2015. Also, he served as a Board Director for California based Jasper Technologies, a leading IoT services platform, until it was recently sold to Cisco last month. Terry's Executive Committee roles include Chairman of the Executive Committee for UMobile, the fourth cellular operator in Malaysia, and Vice Chairman of the Executive Committee of GDS, one of the largest operators of data centers in China.
