Granite Customers Meet with FCC CommissionersGranite Telecommunications (News - Alert), LLC, a provider of voice, data, networking, and other communications services, accompanied several high-profile business customers to the Federal Communications Commission on Friday, July 24, to support the FCC's (News - Alert) proposal in its Technology Transitions proceeding requiring telecom carriers to provide wholesale services to competitors at reasonably comparable rates, terms and conditions during the transition to IP-based networks. Sahal Laher, CIO, Brooks Brothers, Inc.; David Schacht, CIO, Simon Property Group, Inc.; and Andy Laudato, CIO, Pier 1 Imports, joined Granite CEO, President and Founder Rob Hale in urging the FCC to ensure that businesses served by competitive carriers will continue to have choices in their service provider and maintain predictable rates. Granite's customers attended four separate meetings with FCC Chairman Wheeler, Commissioner Rosenworcel, Commissioner O'Rielly and Nicholas Degani, Legal Advisor to Commissioner Pai.
