Anise Asia Selects Virtustream to Power its Next Generation Cloud for SAP Business One Cloud

Anise Asia, a leading provider of public and private cloud services in Malaysia has selected Virtustream, the leading enterprise-class software and services provider, to power the next generation of its cloud platform, as it launches its SAP (News - Alert) Business One Cloud offering to Malaysian SMEs. This partnership will help Malaysian SMEs adopt best-in-class business applications without the complexity and cost of on premise infrastructure with the assurance of security, compliance, performance and efficiency previously only available to the largest enterprises.

"With SAP Business One Cloud, we answered our clients' call for an ERP solution that was quick to deploy and easy to run and maintain. By moving those solutions into the cloud, we are addressing their demand for more flexibility, security and cost savings," said Suhaimee Abu Hassan, Founder and CEO of Anise Asia. "Virtustream is a trusted partner with vast SAP application and managed services expertise, and SAP certification that enables us to provide our customers with the best and most comprehensive set of services available in the market."

For Virtustream, the alliance also expands the reach of its cloud IaaS, software and cloud professional services into the high-growth ASEAN market, through a Master Distribution Agreement, which will allow Anise Asia to sell Virtustream's software portfolio throughout the reion.

Virtustream's micro-VM™ (µVM) technology makes it possible for IT operating expenses to be more efficiently optimized, while its consumption based pricing model ensures that customers only pay for the resources used. Enterprises can gain the scalable, dynamic, on-demand benefits of the cloud combined with enterprise-class performance, security and compliance. Virtustream's Cloud IaaS delivers the elasticity needed to optimize performance and scale to meet demand, while drastically cutting time to market. Early results have already shown that SAP's response time can improve by over 30 percent when running on Virtustream's cloud, while significantly reducing costs.

"This is a strategic move for both companies," said Simon Aspinall (News - Alert), President of Service Provider business, Virtustream. "Together, Anise Asia and Virtustream are able to address the growing demand for enterprise-class cloud services in the ASEAN market."

"SAP Malaysia would like to congratulate Anise Asia and Virtustream on their partnership to pave the way for more Malaysian SMEs to be empowered by SAP Business One Cloud," said Bernard Chiang, Managing Director of SAP Malaysia.

"Our partners are an extension of the SAP network and, quite often with their local knowledge and expertise, play the critical role of fulfilling the 'last mile' of implementation; hence, laying the path for local SMEs to be empowered with innovative ways to reach new customers, maximize efficiency, and drive profitable growth. With SAP Business One Cloud, SMEs can then look forward to better management in every aspect of their operations - from sales and customer relationships to financials and operations," added Chiang.
