DivX, Nowtilus and nacamar Partner to Enable Live Streaming and Multi-Screen Playback of High-Quality OTT Video

DivX, LLC, a leading provider of next-generation digital video solutions, today announced that Nowtilus, a provider of end-to-end TV Everywhere solutions, and nacamar GmbH, a leading German provider of innovative online video services, have adopted the newly launched DivX® OmniView™ to power the live streaming and multi-screen playback of live broadcast content utilizing DivX Live and HEVC. The companies will offer a demonstration of the combined offering throughout IBC 2014 at the DivX stand in Hall 5, booth C10.

nacamar will deploy DivX Live, a key component of DivX OmniView, within their live broadcast head-end services. DivX OmniView, which is MPEG-DASH compliant, will provide nacamar's customers the ability to use DivX Live, which utilizes HEVC, for live-streaming, ensuring extremely high-quality and highly efficient performance across devices. Wowza (News - Alert) Media Systems, a DivX partner, is working with nacamar to enable the live streaming of DivX content. Nowtilus, a long-time DivX partner, has also integrated the latest DivX playback technology into their reference iOS TV Everywhere application.
