Playtech and MSC Cruises extend system partnership to cover MSC Preziosa

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 01 August 2014 Release date- 23072014 - Playtech, the international designer, developer and licensor of software and services for the online, mobile, TV and land-based gaming industries, is proud to announce the extension of its relationship with MSC Cruises, which has ordered the Neon Casino Management System for its newest ship, MSC Preziosa.

The Neon Casino Management system is an enterprise-level system for land-based gaming operators that can be tailored to suit specific needs and is designed to cover a range of gambling operations. MSC Cruises already operates Neon on four of its 12 cruise ships, with a central data warehouse at MSC headquarters providing MSC Cruises management with in-depth analysis across all connected ships.

Neon is integrated with the ships' Fidelio Cruise property management system, enabling guests to use their room key to charge transactions to their bill using a multilingual app at each slot, an iPad at each table or via the cashier.

Neon also enables MSC Cruises to offer a range of bonus programmes designed to stimulate entertainment and increase participation, including free and bonus play offers, virtual prize draws, targeted jackpots and hot seat bonuses.

Neon forms part of Playtech's multi-channel solution, which connects retail and online gaming operations to maximise player conversion between channels, delivers a single view of customers and drives brand loyalty.

On behalf of Playtech, Chris Dempsey commented: 'We have worked closely with MSC Cruises to create a system that meets the unique demands of a cruise ship casino and will now deliver additional enhancements including improvements to help MSC Cruises to drive its casino business forward. We are very pleased to be furthering our partnership with MSC Cruises and we look forward to another successful implementation.' MSC Cruises Corporate Casino Operations Manager Sergio Porcasi added: 'We chose Neon because the system offers a modern platform that can cover our entire operation, both on board and ashore. We felt that Playtech was able to adapt the solution to our specific needs, and the first phase of the implementation has been a success. As we continue to roll out Neon across our fleet, we are confident that we'll be able to control our casino operations more effectively and offer an even more exciting entertainment option to our guests.' The Group's capabilities enable the delivery of an integrated software or turnkey solution, with players accessing online, broadcast, mobile and server-based gaming terminals through a single account.
