vArmour Announces New Executives, Global Expansion in U.S., EMEA and APAC

(Marketwire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/22/14 -- New offices and key players make their appearance as vArmour, a stealth security company designed to protect the new data defined perimeter for enterprises, continues its global expansion. Today, vArmour announced its new expanded offices in EMEA and APAC, along with the appointments of Keith Stewart, VP of Product, based in the U.S., Adam Winter, European sales director and Hideaki Harada, Japan GM. The expansion of vArmour's rapidly growing team with key data center and security leaders in sales and product, paired with a significant presence in the U.S., UK and Japan, enables vArmour to cement its global reach and deliver on its mission to help enterprises protect their most valuable asset: their data.

"Nearly 97 percent of all organizations have been breached*, as hackers relentlessly find new ways to break through the classic perimeter and gain access to critical enterprise data. Our expanded global presence will help enterprises across the world to visualize and defend against these attacks, immediately," said Tim Eades, vArmour CEO. "We're committed to hiring the top talent in the world, and I'm personally ecstatic to welcome Keith, Adam and Harada-San to the vArmour team, as they help us scale our product and sales capabilities to protect the next-generation data center." Traditional security products were all developed in the pre-mobile, pre-cloud, pre-virtual world. vArmour is leading the next wave of solutions built from the ground up for today's dynamic data center. Keith, Adam and Harada-San will contribute their expertise to help lead vArmour's growth as it expands to continue to match its own success and meet its partners' needs at the global level. Particularly, they will lead the vanguard of sales and product departments at vArmour to accelerate its data center and security technology deployment across all regions. Just this week, vArmour was recognized as one of 2014's hottest emerging technology vendors by CRN.

Keith Stewart is now the VP of Products at the corporate headquarters in Mountain View, with over 12 years of experience in product management. He recently was the Senior Director of Product Management at Riverbed Technology and previously held the same position at Brocade, where he led the services products group through multiple sequential quarters of 50%+ growth and led the company's software-defined networking strategy. He also had an extensive run at Cisco where he was responsible for product management of Cisco's flagship security platforms.

Adam Winter, based out of vArmour's new London office, takes the role of Sales Director for Europe, Middle East and Africa. He brings over 17 years of experience of selling data center, networking, storage, computing and virtualization technologies and solutions across the region. Before joining vArmour, Adam was at VCE, where he was responsible for sales and business development of the service provider accounts across EMEA. He helped establish VCE as a leader in the converged infrastructure systems market in EMEA, taking the company from an unknown start-up to revenues in excess of $1.2 billion. Prior to VCE, Adam served on the sales leadership teams in a variety of roles at both Cisco and HP.

Hideaki Harada, based in Tokyo, has been named vArmour's Japan GM. Prior to vArmour, Harada-San experienced more than 14 years of success as Japan Country Manager for a variety of network security and data center focused companies, including NetScreen (acquired by Juniper), Infoblox, IronPort (acquired by Cisco) and Zscaler. Before joining vArmour, he was Country Manager for FireEye, where he built an unmatched team in Japan and expanded business from $0 to $15M bookings in two years.
