HickoryTech Corporation Asking Shareholders to Approve Corporate Name Change to Enventis CorporationMANKATO, Minn. --(Business Wire)-- HickoryTech Corporation (NASDAQ: HTCO), a leading regional business and broadband provider, is asking shareholders to approve a corporate name change to Enventis Corporation. The corporate name change is a final step in the company's move to a unified brand following its change to Enventis (News - Alert) in October 2013, when the company rebranded its telecom markets in southern Minnesota and northwest Iowa. The vote will be tallied at the company's annual meeting on May 6 and upon a successful vote, the company's stock would start trading under Enventis, NASDAQ ticker symbol ENVE. "We ask shareholders to vote in support of changing our corporate name to Enventis Corporation," said John Finke, president and chief executive officer of HickoryTech Corporation. "Aligning our corporate name with Enventis, the brand used to serve thousands of customers across the upper Midwest, allows us to gain full recognition as a public company and as a leading business and broadband service provider. Along with our brand, the company has transformed from a local telephone company into a leading, regional communications provider focused on growing and expanding our business and broadband services." Enventis has grown both organically and through strategic acquisition over the past several years. In 2006, HickoryTech acquired Enventis and embraced this name as its leading business brand. In 2009, the company acquired CP Telecom and in 2012 Enventis acquired IdeaOne Telecom in Fargo, N.D. Enventis offers a wide range of business and broadband solutions, and is expanding its managed and hosted cloud services.
