The finalists, chosen from 47 nominees by an impartial judging panel, represent the leading and most innovative companies in the industry. The Forum will announce the Excellence Awards winners during a special ceremony as part of the exclusive VIP Gala Dinner at TM Forum Live! on Monday, June 2, at the Palais de Mediteranee, and then highlight the winners during the opening keynote session at TM Forum Live! on Tuesday morning, June 3. This year, the Forum launched a new award, the Digital Humanitarian Award, to honor the most innovative and impactful use of digital technology to save lives, alleviate suffering, and maintain and protect human dignity in the aftermath of emergencies. The winners of the Digital Humanitarian, Open Digital, Industry Contribution and Operational Excellence categories are decided by the judging panel, while the winner of the Solution Excellence Award is decided by TM Forum's 250 service provider members, which collectively represent more than 85% of the global communications revenues. Voting for the winner of the Solution Excellence Award opens on April 21st. The 2014 Excellence Awards finalists are: TM Forum Digital Humanitarian Award - Awarded to the organization demonstrating the most innovative and impactful use of digital technology to save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain and protect human dignity in the aftermath of emergencies.
TM Forum Industry Contribution Award - Awarded to the member company demonstrating leadership, dedication and contribution to the Forum's strategic collaboration programs, and the future of the industry as a whole. TM Forum Open Digital Award - Awarded to the digital services provider demonstrating the most innovative and successful digital service, and contributing to an open digital ecosystem. TM Forum Operational Excellence Award - Awarded to the service provider demonstrating the most innovative and effective use of TM Forum Frameworx to deliver tangible cost reduction, risk reduction and improve time-to-market.
