Mformation and Neusoft Successfully Complete Interoperability Testing for Seamless Provisioning of RCS-e Services
EDISON, N.J. & TAMPERE, Finland --(Business Wire)--
Mformation®
Software Technologies Inc. and Neusoft
Mobile Solutions OY today announced the successful completion of
interoperability testing (IOT) of a wide range of RCS-e services using
Neusoft's joyn™-accredited RCS client with Mformation's (News - Alert) advanced mobile
device management (MDM) server.
RCS (Rich Communication Suite) services marketed under the joyn brand
provide a discrete set of IP-based services to mobile subscribers that
go beyond voice and SMS to include instant messaging/chat, live video
sharing and file transfer across any device, on any network, with anyone
in their mobile address book. These services provide a stepping-stone to
the full IP-based video and messaging infrastructure that full
implementation of RCS will bring to market. Cross-network and device
interoperability is a critical aspect of this infrastructure and is
ensured by a rigorous certification program provided by the GSMA (News - Alert).
"Neusoft works with leading vendors to ensure end-to-end service
functionality for our multinational customers," said Jukka Marjomaa,
Sales Director, Neusoft. "By successfully completing interoperability
testing between Mformation's advanced MDM server and our joyn-accredited
RCS clients, we are enabling our MNO customes to confidently launch new
joyn services and offer their subscribers the best possible experience."
"Mformation and Neusoft have partnered to ensure that RCS-e services
such as one-to-one and one-to-many instant messaging (IM), and picture,
video and file sharing can be easily and transparently provisioned on
Neusoft's joyn-accredited RCS client on any device, over any network,"
said Rakesh Kushwaha, Mformation founder and CTO. "As with other new
mobile services, the key to driving up adoption of RCS services is to
make the experience of enabling the services completely transparent to
subscribers. Ensuring seamless provisioning of RCS services on mobile
devices over any network, whether cellular or wireless LAN, is critical
to ensuring that these services work optimally out of the box and
continue to work throughout the lifecycle of the device."
The interoperability testing of Neusoft's RCS client with Mformation's
advanced MDM server was conducted in Mformation's IOT laboratories in
Bangalore & New Jersey. Mformation's MDM server seamlessly configured
Neusoft's RCS-e client over-the-air using HTTPS protocol, enabling it to
activate RCS-e services. These services can include instant messaging
(IM), file transfer, image sharing and video sharing.
