Acoustic Technologies and Maxim Integrated Showcase a Second-Generation Wideband Voice Solution at the 2013 Mobile World Congress
SANTA CLARA, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
Acoustic Technologies, Inc. and Maxim Integrated Products (News - Alert), Inc. will
demonstrate their highly integrated, second-generation, wideband HD
voice solution for smartphones, tablets and mobile computing at the 2013
Mobile World Congress (News - Alert) in Barcelona on February 24th - 28th.
This system-on-a-chip (SoC) merges Acoustic's HD noise cancellation
technology and Maxim's MAX98096, a smart audio hub with FlexSound®
processor.
The Acoustic Technology HD noise cancellation uses the company's
InstantAdapt™ feature, dynamic microphone balancing technology and
FlexEQ™ equalization to deliver clear speech anywhere. Wideband voice
doubles the sampling rate of narrowband voice to deliver expanded
frequency response at both the lower and upper ends of the voice
spectrum. Dramatically improved voice quality improves the user's
experience on mobile networks with deployed HD voice and for WiFi (News - Alert)® voice
applications. The improvements in sound fidelity and clear speech also
improve recognition rates in noise for ASR applications.
The MAX98096 is a complete, proven system-on-chip (SoC) solution that
integrates ADCs, DACs, amplifiers, a DSP audio engine and sophisticated
voice processing. With high-performance audio capabilities, including
Dynamic Speaker ManagementTM technology, industry leading
low-power consumption, advanced multiple microphone noise reduction and
full-duplex echo cancellation, this audio SoC is ideal for mobile
devices. The Maxi® TINI® family of audio hub products with FlexSound®
processing is shipping in high-volume production today in smartphones,
tablets and other mobile platforms.
