HealthEdge, a provider of enterprise-class software platform for healthcare payors, said that the company has won the 2012 Healthcare IT Summit XCellence "Best of Show" award.
Hosted by XChange Events, the Healthcare IT Summit XCellence Awards measure information technology (IT) decision makers' perceptions of vendor products and services, presentations and presence during the conference, the Company noted in a release.
Held November 11th-13th at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress, Orlando, FL, the 2012 Healthcare IT Summit explored the changing face of healthcare IT for both payor and provider communities. The event is an IT-focused conference that brings together both sides of the industry, providing education and insight on future market drivers, business trends, economic factors and technology opportunities impacting the healthcare IT market.
"The ongoing evolution of technology and the emergence of new government policies are having a dramatic impact on the healthcare industry. By bringing together industry analysts, IT executives and vendors to collaborate and share ideas, the Healthcare IT Summit shines a spotlight on the changing face of Healthcare technology," said Robert C. DeMarzo, Senior Vice President of Strategic Content, UBM Channel. "The 2012 Healthcare IT Summit XCellence Awards recognize the best of that group and honor the organizations that are driving innovation and delivering valuable IT and business solutions to address the industry's most pressing issues."
Earning high marks were presentations given by HealthEdge Executive Vice President Ray Desrochers. The first, the payor keynote, titled "Survey Says: Insight, Answers and Advice from the Frontlines," highlighted key business issues facing healthcare payors, and featured insights from the most recent "State of the Payor Industry" survey conducted by HealthEdge. In "The Next Wave: Five-Steps for Adapting to Constant Change," Desrochers presented a roadmap for technology and business transformation that payors can use as they adapt their organizations and IT platforms to compete in the rapidly evolving healthcare marketplace.
"We thank the team at XChange Events for organizing such an important conference," said Desrochers. "Receiving the 'Best of Show' award, the Summit's top honor, is further validation of our market vision. Leading payors recognize they will need to leverage next-generation technology platforms as part of a larger business transformation to support new healthcare business models, address regulatory change, reduce out-of-control administrative costs and provide new levels of transparency and customer service. We look forward to working closely with many of the executives that we met at this year's Summit, as they position their organizations to compete in the new healthcare economy."
