BMC to Integrate Service Management Platform with Infoplex

Australian Cloud Services provider Infoplex has selected BMC Software to implement a Business Service Management (BSM) platform.
According to a release, the decision came after a competitive review by the Australian company, which provides technology services to more than 120 enterprise and corporate customers.
Infoplex embarked on a journey to transform its IT environment that required a single integrated IT management solution. The company selected BMC's BSM platform to monitor its customers' critical business applications, and provision cloud services and the systems that support them. BSM provides businesses with a single, integrated IT automation and management platform.
"Our goal at Infoplex is to help our customers improve the performance of their mission-critical applications and deliver real business impact beyond simple cost containment," said Aakash Gandhi, chief technology officer at Infoplex. "BMC's BSM platform will allow our customers to quickly provision and continuously monitor the performance of their IT environment, as well as rapidly adjust and otherwise scale their server environment based on business requirements."
BMC said its single integrated platform provides significant out-of-the-box capability, requiring minimum customization. This makes it possible for customers like Infoplex to adjust their overall customer service by reducing risk and eliminating costs to continuously maintain the platform.
"Unlike offerings from other IT vendors, BMC Cloud Lifecycle Management and BMC Cloud Operations Management address a broad combination of hardware, software and virtualization offerings to provide a flexible approach to cloud computing," said Gandhi. "BMC's software allows us to manage a heterogeneous environment in the broadest sense of the word. We can leverage all of our physical, virtual, SaaS and cloud assets fully, managing them as one environment. This is true heterogeneity, and this is where the market is going. BMC achieves this through its Business Service Management platform in powerful ways that no other vendor can match."
BMC Services noted that it will work in close partnership with Infoplex to deliver the implementation and ensure the company achieves the right business outcomes from the technology and deliver worth to Infoplex's customer base. The company expects to start realizing the benefits and return on investment next quarter and will jointly develop, market and implement packaged and custom BSM solutions.
