Vista Equity Partners Completes Acquisition of CDC Software

Vista Equity Partners today announced it has completed its acquisition of CDC Software (News - Alert) pursuant to the purchase agreement that was announced on March 20, 2012. CDC Software (The Customer-Driven Company™) is now a standalone company operating independently of CDC Corporation.

The company also announced that Monte Ford has been appointed to the newly created position of President of CDC Software reporting to the Board of Directors. Prior to this appointment, Monte Ford was Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer at AMR Corporation. In this capacity Ford managed a very complex and diverse IT organization supporting over 80,000 employees and 300,000 passengers daily. Ford also held executive positions in IT at The Associates and Bank of Boston.
